God’s Rest (Part II)

Rest and restoration go hand-in-hand. If we truly want the Lord to restore us, we need to be willing to surrender to His process and rest in Him. Then the Lord does His great work of restoration!

Below are a few scriptures about rest and restoration. Meditate on these scriptures and listen to what the Lord is speaking to you in this season of your life.

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Psalm 23: 3

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Psalm 51:12

Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. Psalm 116:7

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:

“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
But you would not, Isaiah 30: 15

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

Sometimes when we are not willing to rest, God orchestrates the events in our lives, to get our attention and to speak to us about those areas that need His attention!

Are there areas in your life that you need restoration? What is the Lord is speaking to you concerning them? Are you trying to control things that are not in your control? Are you in need of His rest for your mind, emotions, will, and body? What is the Lord asking you to surrender, so that you can enter His rest!?
