Waiting with Hope (Part II)

The Bible reminds us that waiting with hope has spiritual, physical, and emotional benefits for us.

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

The above scripture reminds us of the beauty of waiting in God with hope. When we wait with the expectation of who God is and what He is able to do, we renew our strength. People may look for self-helps or various exercises to grow stronger, but the Bible tells us waiting on God renews our strength! It gives us the capacity to have grit in life and persevere.

Is it possible that a  fast-paced culture actually shapes people to be weak since they have not developed strength through waiting!?

The above scripture also tells us that those who wait on God will mount up with wings like eagles. Eagles are light and are known to fly high altitudes  up to 10,000 ft or more. When one waits  on God with hope and expectation, they are able to let go of the burdens and the heaviness that this world puts on them. They become light in the spirit and regain confidence and joy in the Lord!

Furthermore, the above verse tells us that those who wait on the Lord, can walk and run without feeling tired or giving up. When a person waits in hope, he/she doesn’t  lose the vision that God has given them. They continue to move towards what they believe the Lord has spoken, and they do it with expectation of fruitfulness as they run the race that the Lord has placed in their hearts.

Have you been weary lately? What have you been waiting for? Has the Lord spoken concerning this area of your life? Are you able to wait with hope and expectation of what He has spoken to you? Do you continue to move in the right direction in walking out your faith?
